As reported by the Birmingham Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has stated he does not care about Norwich City’s current momentum, as his team prepare for a crucial midweek game at Molineux.

The Midlands side are unbeaten in their last four in the Championship, although the table toppers will want to get back to winning ways after only managing a fortunate point against a strong Preston North End side at the weekend.

On the contrary, former Premier League regulars Norwich are coming off the back of a dramatic last-minute equaliser against bitter rivals Ipswich Town. They may not exactly be contending for the top six at this moment in time, but it seems as if their confidence is growing with each and every week.

When speaking about the Canaries prior to the game tonight, the Wolves boss was defiant in wanting to stay focused on the task at hand.

“We know what we have to do,” said Santo.

“We have to work very hard for each game and that’s what we’ve been doing. They have good momentum, a good team, a good manager, playing good football, but let’s focus on ourselves.

“We know what we have to do. We don’t care much if they come motivated, extra motivated, we have to focus on ourselves.”

Norwich seem to be in a similar position to the Wolves squad of last season, as they continue to try and build something special under manager Daniel Farke.

The unpredictable nature of this division has left them on the outskirts of the playoff race as of late, although just one league defeat in nine games has given fans renewed hope that they can make a late surge for sixth and beyond.

The reverse fixture back in October saw Woles run out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Willy Boly and Leo Bonatini, but it seems like things will be a bit more competitive this time around.
