Following their 4-4 draw with Fulham at the weekend, Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown real progress.
It was only a week or two ago that it was all doom and gloom among Wolverhampton Wanderers fans. A parade of supporters were looking towards the possibility of relegation once again, as the moans and groans regarding the owners came out in full force.
Thankfully the ship has been steadied ever so slightly in the last few games, with the 4-4 draw against Fulham at the weekend showing that progress is indeed being made despite perfection not yet being reached.
For the longest period of time coming back from the dead in games has been a real issue for Wolves, but their never say die spirit was revitalised at Molineux as they came from 3-1 down against the London based club.
As opposed to using the reaction from the fans to decrease their performance, they used it as fuel to inspire themselves towards earning what could prove to be a valuable point.
Wolves’ players were starting to fight for each other all over the pitch as opposed to allowing lethargic errors to cost them games, and the attacking intent was evident which can likely be attributed to Lambert’s style.
There is still some glaring issues at the back that need addressing, but at least it is a start as we approach the new year.
