Wolves manager Walter Zenga has said he is afraid of their upcoming game against Wigan Athletic.
It has been an interesting start to the season for Wolverhampton Wanderers as they seem to be putting their fans through quite the roller coaster ride under new manager Walter Zenga. Thankfully it appears as if they are on the track to consistency with two league victories on the bounce and some winnable fixtures coming up. However, as reported by Express & Star manager Zenga has said he is afraid about the upcoming game against lowly Wigan Athletic.
“There are no easy games, or easy teams,” he said. “Every game is one story.
“I’m afraid of this type of game. The situation is inverse to a week ago. One week ago we must show something for ourselves after one draw and one loss. Now we come from two victories.
“We must be very, very careful of this game, with our attitude and concentration.”
It is certainly fascinating to see the direction that these two sides are heading in given what they have both been through over the last few years.
Wolves and Wigan have both experienced the pain of going from the Premier League to League One in the space of just a few seasons, but now their expectations for the year ahead are quite varied.
As Zenga said, every game is different in the Championship, and the fact that he understands that so early on in his tenure is a very positive sign going forward for the Molineux faithful.
