Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has high praise for youngster Morgan Gibbs-White following his display in midweek.

As reported by the Express & Star, Nuno Espirito Santo had nothing but positive things to say about Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Morgan Gibbs-White following yet another positive performance midweek against Norwich City.
Despite Wolves not coming away with all three points, there were still a handful of impressive talking points, with one of the main ones being the display put on by Morgan Gibbs-White. At the age of just 18, he is one of the most impressive youngsters in the Championship, and he seems to be gaining more confidence every time he plays for the first-team.
“He’s growing, he’s getting better,” Nuno said. “He has the talent – he requires the work and we will get that.

“He grew very big on the pitch and showed character to create chances, very good.”
It is not always easy to impress someone like Nuno and it is even more difficult to do so when your team comes away with a somewhat disappointing result, but Gibbs-White was able to showcase a level of skill and maturity that few could have imagined he would possess at this stage of his career.
Of course, he is not the finished product just yet, and he made a few bad decisions in the box throughout the course of the game at Molineux, but that is to be expected given his inexperience at this level. Gibbs-White’s cameo is something that has had many fans talking, with this seeming to be a good sign of things to come at the club in terms of bringing through younger talent.

The main storyline surrounding Wolves this season has been their influx of foreign superstars, which makes sense, but it seems as if they are finally reverting to their roots that helped them out of the third tier a few years ago.
Wolves ended up relying on the likes of Iorfa, Hause, Ikeme, Doherty, Batth and more to help pull them back from the brink, and it seems as if Nuno understands that he has a great deal of young English talent at his disposal.
It takes a top-level manager to be able to integrate players like that into a system which is already so successful and, when you consider their youth setup, it becomes obvious that this squad can turn out two or three different starting XIs and still pose a threat to any team in the division.
