There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Walter Zenga over the last few days, and owner Jeff Shi needs to stay strong.

The inconsistency in results at Molineux has quickly transformed into a simple inability to win games, and that has grabbed the attention of fans and media around the world.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Walter Zenga appears to be on his last legs following the last few results. However the worst thing that owner Jeff Shi could do would be to make a knee jerk reaction regarding the Italian’s tenure at the club.
Everyone knew when the takeover took place that this was going to be a long work in process. Unfortunately, Wolves fans have the tendency to be fickle and over the last few years that has been evidenced by the parade of managers that have come and gone at the Midlands side.

Following Mick McCarthy’s departure the only man to have been given an extended stay in the job was Kenny Jackett, and even then he was dismissed once things got a bit more difficult.
Yes, Zenga should have been able to work out the problems within the squad by now, but for the sake of the team he needs to be given more time. Dave Edwards has already come out and stated that the squad are behind him, and there needs to be harmony among the players in order to ensure success.
It is a difficult league. The Championship is daunting for any new foreign manager and the solution is to get behind Zenga, not shove him out the back door. He has put together some strong results and formations this season, and while things are not going their way at the moment that is no reason to go back to days of the managerial merry-go-round.
