Under Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion are slowly going under the radar in the Premier League this season.
Towards the start of the campaign there were so many doubters regarding what West Bromwich Albion could hope to achieve this year. With manager Tony Pulis supposedly on the way out and the team in a state of disarray, a relegation scrap looked likely. However, as we enter the Christmas period that could not be further from the truth.
After a strong run of games the Midlands side now find themselves up in the top half, and they do not look out of place among some of the teams around them.
They have long since been an established member of the Premier League, but have never really thrived how teams like Stoke City and Southampton have before them.
That could all change given a combination of Pulis’s experience and the fact that the strength of the division around them is not as strong as it once was. One or two victories on the trot can get you a long way in 2016 as opposed to five or ten years ago, with the top flight starting to resemble the Championship in that sense minus the top five or six sides.
The club’s tough run of games over the next few weeks will certainly be a good indication as to what they can hope to achieve come May.
