Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Kieran Lee believes his side can win promotion following his goal in the Owls’ victory at the weekend.

Kieran Lee arrived at Hillsborough over four years ago, and since then he has impressed with his performances for the Owls. At the weekend he made his 150th appearance for the club, during which he scored twice as Wednesday came from behind to defeat Nottingham Forest. As reported by The Star, Lee is now setting his sights firmly on promotion to the top flight.
“Everyone knows what we want,” he said. “We have got to try and push for promotion. That’s everyone’s target.
“We will take it game by game and see where we are in a couple of months.”

The club will be oozing with confidence after their third straight home win, however Lee is ensuring that they keep their focus ahead of what is sure to be a long and arduous season.
“It’s a little bit early to start looking at the league table,” he said. “Hopefully we can pick up a couple of wins before the international break and see where we are.”
The Owls are looking to bounce back from last season’s heartbreaking play-off final loss to Hull City, knowing full well that losing the play-off final can either make or break a team. They travel to face Blackburn Rovers tomorrow night in an attempt to win away from home for the first time this campaign.
