Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Walter Zenga seemed downbeat following his side’s 1-0 loss at home to Leeds United.

Over the last few weeks, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ inconsistency has simply turned into an inability to win. Fans are growing increasingly frustrated at the current state of affairs at Molineux with more and more people believing it is time to end the Walter Zenga experiment and bring in a more experienced manager at this level. Regardless, for the time being the Italian is still the man in charge and as reported by the Express & Star the man himself has commented on how he personally felt the game went at the weekend.
A late goal saw Wolves fall to yet another defeat, this time at the hands of Leeds United. With the Yorkshire side putting in a relatively poor performance themselves, it really does highlight the amount of work that needs to be done by Zenga and company.
He said to the Express & Star: “I don’t know where to start. If I have to start from the chances we create and the football we play, or the single mistake we did that every time we’re going to be punished from.

“I don’t know. It’s a real frustration, this situation. The negative point should be that if the team doesn’t play or create anything or lose the game.
“In this way you have at least the chance to think that the team did play well, better than the other team because Leeds only defend.”

Some people believe a decision regarding Zenga’s future could be made as early as next week, and it would not be surprising to see him dismissed.
One shining light for the Italian is that should he stay in charge, Wolves have a series of winnable fixtures coming up over the next few weeks against the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Derby County. Whether he will be the man at the helm for those clashes remains to be seen.
