Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino made his mark thanks to his side’s 1-1 draw against rivals Arsenal at the weekend.
The North London Derby is always a bitterly contested game. Whether the two sides are in direct competition in the league has never truly mattered, because as we all know form goes out the window on derby day.
Historically the fixture has always belonged to Arsenal, which has been highlighted over the last two decades under Arsene Wenger.
However there appears to be a ray of light in terms of the future of this fixture, with Mauricio Pochettino becoming the first ever Tottenham manager to remain undefeated during his first five derby games in the Premier League era.

That statistic may not mean much right now to Tottenham fans who believed they should have taken all three points at the weekend, however in the grand scheme of things it is a pretty big deal. For years Spurs fans have had to endure torture from the Gunners faithful regarding their inability to keep up with them, but Pochettino appears to have brought some form of stability back to proceedings.
After years of St. Totteringham’s Day celebrations, perhaps come May things will be slightly different.
