Ruben Neves has turned into a superstar with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The future of Ruben Neves is a hot topic around European football, as the 21-year-old continues to prove why he is one of the hottest commodities in the game right now. He has had a phenomenal season in the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers, firmly establishing himself as ‘the man’ at Molineux.

But, as we enter the summer transfer window, it is clear to see that there is a great deal of interest when it comes to acquiring his services. A handful of big clubs have already been linked with a move for the Portuguese sensation and, with the speculation set to continue, it is time to look at the most likely destinations for the youngster.

1) Wolves

Neves has become a legend at Molineux in less than 12 months, and this feels like it is just the beginning. Now that they are in the Premier League their size should not be looked upon as an issue, because he is already so familiar with the setup.

He has the benefit of being the focal point of the side, the fans love him, and he is still only in his early 20s. There is plenty of time for Neves to develop and then move on to something bigger, but for now, it seems like he is going to stay put.

2) Manchester United

The Red Devils were one of the first clubs to really show an interest in Neves a few months back and, given their stature alone, it would make sense for him to consider playing for arguably the biggest team in world football. There is room in the starting line-up for him, a Portuguese connection in the form of manager Jose Mourinho and, if he looks to his international teammates for advice then he will find Cristiano Ronaldo, who will likely advise him that a move to Old Trafford would greatly benefit his career.

3) Liverpool

The Reds are on the verge of becoming European champions for the sixth time, which would usually be enough to lure any high profile youngster to Anfield. However, the question remains as to how much time Neves would get in the current Liverpool squad.

There are other places that just feel like a better fit for him and, while he could flourish under the right circumstances, the pressure to perform would be overwhelming in comparison to rival clubs.
