Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Steve Bull has stated that he thinks the players at the club are in a state of limbo.

To say that there are uncertain times surrounding Wolverhampton Wanderers right now would be an understatement. The club is in somewhat of a disarray which seems odd to some, especially considering the joy they had over the summer. Regardless, the search is on for a new manager and as reported by the Express & Star, club legend Steve Bull has said that the players appear to be in a state of limbo right now.

The 51-year-old is often regarded as the club’s greatest ever player, having made his mark as Wolves’ all-time top goal-scorer during his 13-year tenure. With the Midlands side still close to his heart, Bull often comments on what transpires there.

“Everyone’s in a bit of limbo this week as we wait and see what happens with the new managerial appointment” Bull told the Express & Star.

“If we can get the support out on Saturday and have the fans fully behind the players that would be great and make a big difference.

“The players’ confidence is a bit fragile at the moment so they don’t need any boos. It won’t be a big crowd but the team need the fans at the moment.”

The attendances as of late are certainly an interesting side note, with many fans choosing to consistently stay at home after a few years of troubled times.

But the most important thing is getting back to winning ways, and the game against Derby County this weekend certainly provides the perfect opportunity to do just that.

While the Rams have improved under Steve McClaren, their situation echoes Wolves in that they are also desperate to build some momentum following a poor start to the campaign.
