The negativity surrounding Villa Park during and shortly after Roberto Di Matteo’s reign was there for all to see. Some supporters did not even want to be associated with the club anymore which highlights just how far the great Aston Villa have fallen. Now though, the introduction of Steve Bruce has changed everything for the better.
First off, Bruce initially does come across as a likeable bloke. That goes a long way in winning some fans over, which is not easy to do for him especially given his ties to Birmingham City.
He has lost some weight, looks excited to be there and his attitude seems to be rubbing off on fans around him.

Just look at the results. Seven points from his first three games in charge and they still have plenty more in the tank given the talent at their disposal.
One press conference full of joy and potential just shows that one spirited action can cause a ripple effect, even in a business as cynical and unforgiving as professional football.
Sure it has not all been positive and Bruce still has his critics, but the early signs are more than good with smiles being put on people’s faces within such a short space of time. That is the biggest indicator of them all that positive vibrations can create results.
