Rotherham United will look to ensure they do not break an unwanted 26-year club record when they face Huddersfield Town tonight.
It has not been the best of starts to the Championship season for Rotherham United and manager Alan Stubbs, as the club find themselves down in 23rd position with just one win from their opening nine league games.
If that was not bad enough, a loss against Huddersfield tonight would see the club lose their opening five away contests for the first time since the 1990/91 season.
Their slip into the relegation zone came at the weekend courtesy of a 2-1 home loss at the hands of fellow strugglers Cardiff City, meanwhile Huddersfield are riding high in 2nd. It is bound to be a tough ask for Stubbs and company to avoid defeat as they attempt not to emulate the 1990/91 side who did not register an away win until February.
While a loss would break the record it would not be the end of the world for Rotherham given the form of some of the teams around them. Also, as everyone knows momentum is vital in the Championship so they will take confidence from the fact that anyone can beat anyone in this league.
