Queens Park Rangers have been fined £7,500 for failing to control their players following the 2-1 victory over rivals Fulham.

Queens Park Rangers have been embroiled in controversy over the last few weeks, with the alleged revelations about manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink taking the club by storm. They have decided to stick by the Dutchman which has divided opinions up and down the country, however in the last few days they have had a new issue on their hands. As reported by talkSPORT, the club have been fined £7,500 for failing to control their players in the derby game against Fulham.
With QPR 2-1 up deep into injury time, referee Lee Mason awarded Fulham a penalty in the 95th minute for Nedum Onuoha’s alleged foul. Following this Mason was surrounded by a group of QPR players who decided to protest the decision.
“Queens Park Rangers” have been fined £7,500 and warned as to their future conduct after admitting an FA misconduct charge,” the FA stated.

“Club failed to ensure players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion in the 95th minute of the game against Fulham on October 1, 2016.”
Despite the players’ protests the penalty went ahead, but fortunately for Hasselbaink’s men they were awarded a slice of luck as Sone Aluko’s strike rattled the post.
The club will attempt to put the issue behind them as they prepare to host Reading following the international break.
