Nuno Espirito Santo’s Twitter message proves he is ready for the Wolves fight

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito made a rare appearance on social media last night.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo took to Twitter in order to issue something of a ‘rallying cry’ ahead of the club’s vital game against Reading tomorrow.

While many will argue that he probably did not even send this tweet himself, his attitude and approach to the fans over the course of the season indicate that he certainly played a part in it.

Nuno’s no-nonsense attitude combined with his obvious passion for the club is something that has not been seen at Molineux since the days of Mick McCarthy. Of course, something that probably assisted with the fan support of him was the fact that there were not many expectations upon his arrival to the club.

With the likes of Walter Zenga and Stale Solbakken having come and gone in the years prior, the introduction of another foreign manager with no real experience in England was always going to be a frightening prospect. Thankfully, Nuno seems to possess a few things which they did not – poise and resilience.

In the face of the club’s worst spell this season he has not panicked, while also understanding what changes need to be made in order for the team to recapture their form. While a game against Reading will not be easy, it should be seen as a must win for a lot of fans, although Nuno will likely be keeping his feet firmly on the ground.

He seems to have found the perfect blend between remaining humble and having a fire that can drive both the supporters and the squad. The 44-year-old is not using Molineux as a stepping stone which is clear for everyone to see, and it is also the biggest compliment that the club could receive.

Some fans will say that this has been an incredible season regardless of what happens from this point onwards, but the majority of Wolves supporters should rest easy knowing that Nuno will most likely not be happy until promotion is secured – just like Mick McCarthy.
