Norwich City youngster Josh Murphy showed his ability in his side’s 2-0 League Cup victory over Premier League side Everton.
Not many Norwich City fans were expecting much from the trip to Goodison Park, especially considering they had a second string side out against what many consider to be a strong Everton XI. So you can imagine the surprise when they ended up running out 2-0 winners against the in-form Premier League side.
Steven Naismith opened the scoring for the visitors against his former club, however it was youngster Josh Murphy’s thunderbolt that grabbed the headlines.
The Murphy twins of Josh and Jacob have been grabbing headlines for a few weeks now due to their fantastic performances for the Canaries, and this goal once again proved what a great asset they are to the club.
Murphy’s strike sealed the win with around 15 minutes to go, and with the quality that these two possess between them it is no wonder pundits are once again tipping Norwich for yet another promotion. With many players it can be misinterpreted as hype, but these two could go on to become superstars if they continue their current trajectory.
