Ivan Cavaleiro was one of Wolves’ biggest signings this summer and he has finally got his Molineux career up and running.

When Ivan Cavaleiro made the switch from Monaco to Molineux, big things were expected of the Portuguese star given the price tag that came along with him. Since arriving in England he has been gradually learning to adapt to the English game, and as reported by Express & Star he stated that scoring his first goal was a very special feeling.
“I enjoyed that,” he said. “I’m very happy to get my first goal and the most important thing is the team winning.
“It was a special feeling because it was my first goal and we need goals to get confidence and it was good.”

The continuous squad rotations at Wolves have been a bit of a problem for players like Cavaleiro, with the 22-year-old having started just one game since the multi-million pound transfer.
It is natural that the physical side of the game is more difficult for him to contend with as it is something we have heard about for years, with the physical nature of the top flight and the lower leagues proving tricky for some.
“I’m enjoying it but it is very difficult,” he said. “They run too much and it is difficult but I have to learn with them (my team mates).

“The British players are helping me so much and I say thank you because they are very good people and helping me and the other Portuguese and French players.”
His determination to succeed and his focus on the task at hand are both qualities that will resonate with Wolves fans, and given the current run of form they are on the club will benefit from their record transfer signing hitting a good run of form.
They will attempt to continue their good form in the league when they face Wigan Athletic tomorrow night.
