Having been at the Madjeski Stadium for four years now, the 29-year-old has long since been a fan favourite at the club with Jaap Stam also appearing to be a big fan of the Jamaican international.
His movement, end product and overall contributions have been key to the style that Stam has implemented during his early career at the club. The Dutchman has transformed the club in the same kind of mould as Ajax, and McCleary is a big part of that.
As a tenured member of the club in addition to having a natural flair that is rare in the Championship, McCleary could prove to be one of the defining factors in guiding Reading to success come May.
