Everton midfielder Aaron Lennon has revealed what new manager Ronald Koeman has banned from the team’s meals.
After a sensational start to the Premier League season, Everton fans have been singing the praises of new manager Ronald Koeman. Some people have been wondering what the secret to their success is and now as reported by Liverpool Echo, midfielder Aaron Lennon has revealed one of his new philosophies – banning phones from meal times.
Lennon, who has been appeared in the 2-0 League Cup loss against Norwich, made the claim in a recent interview with Match of the Day magazine.
“[Ronald Koeman] is really good,” says Lennon. “He’s banned phones at meal times, so we’re speaking and talking, which is a shock for some of the lads!
“But it’s good. It’s encouraging the lads to get on even more than they do, which can only be good!”
It is one of many things that the Dutchman has reportedly changed since joining the Merseyside club, including sharper time management and weight loss.
Lennon will be hoping that his performance was enough to impress Koeman despite the mid-week loss. The expectations around Goodison Park are expected to get gradually higher if the results keep coming, and they will be aiming to keep their momentum going when they travel to face Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.
