Wolves will attempt to end a long winless streak when they travel to the Riverside.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will head north tonight to face Middlesbrough, in a Good Friday clash which could see Nuno Espirito Santo’s men take a giant leap towards promotion back to the Premier League.
The table toppers are just a handful of wins away from returning to the top flight, but they’re still going to have to contend with some tricky challenges over the next few weeks. The game against Boro, ironically enough, could be the hardest of them all.

Astonishingly Wolves haven’t won away at Middlesbrough in well over 50 years, which is a record that spans more than two dozen games. On top of that, their victory over the playoff contenders earlier in the season was their first in five games against them, having previously lost four in a row dating back to October 2014.
Many fans are choosing to see a potential victory tonight as a sign of real growth for the club, and for the most part, that makes sense. Wolves have been breaking all kinds of records since the season began in August, and a win over Boro would show just how far they’ve come during Nuno’s time in charge.

The game will kick off an extremely hectic schedule over the next two weeks, as they follow up the Boro game with a visit to Cardiff and three home games against Hull, Derby, and Birmingham, with the last two being seen as potential promotion clinchers.
In preparation for the Boro game, however, Wolves supporters have reacted to their abysmal record against Tony Pulis’ men.
