Celtic have been the talk of Europe lately following their dramatic 3-3 Champions League draw with Manchester City. A number of players made an impact in that game with Moussa Dembele continuing to grab the headlines ever since his move to Scotland. There are a number of top European clubs interested in the forward but as reported by Daily Record, the 20-year-old believes he can become one of the world’s top strikers through playing for Celtic.

He said: “My ambitions, as I said on the first day when I signed for Celtic, is to be one of the best strikers in the world.

“That starts from playing in games like the one against Manchester City, but also in training, so I have to give my best and try to improve and learn every day.

“Celtic is a family club, so there’s a special relationship between the players and the fans and you cannot see this at any other club in the world.

“I’m glad to be here and have this family around me.”

While Dembele’s statements will certainly encourage Celtic fans, they will know as well as anyone that another year or two of great performances could see the Frenchman lured away from the club by a more tempting offer.

The important thing right now is that he focuses on helping the club to yet another league title as well as progressing in the Champions League.

The next step in that mission comes after the international break when the Bhoys host Motherwell at Celtic Park.
