Cardiff City have experienced a turbulent start to their 2016/17 campaign, currently lying second bottom with just two league wins from their opening nine games.
This has naturally caused a panic among fans of the South Wales club, and Tuesday night’s 2-0 home loss to fellow strugglers Derby County certainly did not help matters. As reported by Derby Telegraph, manager Paul Trollope has admitted to Wales Online that the Rams were the better side.
Trollope told Wales Online: “We were beaten by the better team.
“It was disappointing to concede the goal early in the second half, they had a lot of passes in the build-up and we could have put the pressure on earlier.

“The events of the day maybe gave them a freshness, it was a difficult evening for us.”
The 44-year-old was referring to the fact that manager Nigel Pearson was suspended before the game, leaving assistant manager Chris Powell to guide Derby to victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The pressure on Trollope was eased with victory away at Rotherham, but the loss to Derby once again leaves fans asking questions of their manager. He now faces a crucial run of games which starts with a trip to the Pirelli Stadium to face Burton Albion on Saturday.
