Aston Villa fans have some interesting views ahead of Darren Bent’s return to Villa Park with Burton Albion.

There was once a time when Darren Bent was one of the hottest strikers in England, but now, he appears to be nothing more than an afterthought despite only being 33.
The former England international has been bouncing around a series of clubs for the better part of 10 years now, with his longest tenure in one place being when he was an Aston Villa player between 2011 and 2015.

Some fans always held out hope that he would be able to re-discover his consistency one day, but alas, his form continued to falter before he was finally sold to Derby County.
From there he continued to be a hit and miss prospect, and now, he’ll be turning out for Championship relegation strugglers Burton Albion until the end of the season.
Given that he has not been a Villa player for three years you would think that fans wouldn’t have made much noise about this move, but as fate would have it, his second game for the Brewers will take place at Villa Park this weekend.

Bent made his long-awaited return from injury during his Burton debut earlier this week against Reading, and now, he seems to have a spring in his step as he attempts to prove the doubters wrong.
With Derby being locked in a promotion race with the Villans right now they’ll all be cheering for their on-loan striker to make an impact. As you can see by these Twitter reactions, that’s a big worry heading into tomorrow’s game.
