Marco Silva has admitted that Everton want to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona at the end of the season.

Marco Silva admitted at the weekend that Everton will try to permanently prize Andre Gomes away from Barcelona at the end of the season.
“I think in the right moment we have to do something to achieve one player like Andre,” Silva said, reports the Liverpool Echo. “At the end of the season we will talk to the players and with the clubs and after then we will take the decision or not.”
Gomes had endured a tough time at Barca that had regularly seen him with critics ever since moving to Catalonia from Valencia.
His reputation had dropped enough that Everton didn’t have much of a fight for his signature when they brought him in on loan last summer but that could certainly be different at the end of the season – if his first few performances are anything to go by.
History tells us, however, that the biggest fight they’d face would be from Barcelona, despite them deciding he’s not needed at the club right now.

The likes of ex-Evertonian Gerard Deulofeu, Denis Suarez, and Munir El Haddadi were all let go by Barca, either on loan or permanently, only to be brought back and given a place in their squad after good performances elsewhere.
If Gomes is good enough at Goodison to encourage the Toffees to pursue his transfer, they may find that Barca are suddenly eager to keep the midfielder.
And if that is the case, it may take Gomes himself to push through any move – so they better start the persuading now.
