Crystal Palace target Mostafa Mohamed is targeting a move to the Premier League after a superb start to life at Galatasaray, former Egypt international Amr Zaki has explained to Sabah.
The Turkish giants couldn’t have made their stance any more clear.
Amid claims from HaberTurk suggesting Crystal Palace will make a summer move for 23-year-old Mohamed, Galatasaray have wasted no time in pointing out they aren’t open for business.
The Super Lig leaders signed Mohamed on loan from Zamalek in January and have the option to sign the striker on a permanent basis at the end of the season – an option they plan to seize.
But, according to one of Egyptian football’s biggest legends, his fresh-faced compatriot plans to make a name for himself in England at some point, even if a move to Crystal Palace may have to wait.
“I spoke with Mustafa six days ago. I congratulated him. I assured him Galatasaray is a very big club,” says Zaki, who scored 30 games for his country and played in England for Wigan Athletic and Hull City.

“I told him he has to go to the Premier League in two seasons. He also stated that his target is England.
“He’s a great player and has now become the number one forward for the Egyptian national team.
“He’s in a great club right now and Mustafa will definitely take incredible strides in his career.”
Mohamed is valued at about £22 million and has scored five goals in five games in his first few weeks in Turkey.
