Speaking to Brighton’s Official YouTube channel, Adam Lallana has been discussing his former Liverpool teammate, Jordan Henderson.
Lallana and Henderson are the closest of friends after their time together at Anfield, and the Brighton ace had so many good things to say about the Reds’ captain after his brilliant World Cup performances.
The main point that Lallana focused on was Henderson’s leadership, describing it as his ‘super strength’ stating that the England star is better than anyone else in world football in this area.

Henderson the best leader
Lallana discussed the midfielder’s leadership abilities.
“I’ve spoken about it a little bit before. His leadership is his super strength, it’s what he does better than anyone in my opinion. It’s summarised now by how decorated he is as the Liverpool captain,” Lallana said.
England’s true captain
Harry Kane may wear the armband, but make no mistake about it, Henderson is the true captain of this England team.
He’s always the most vocal on the pitch, by all accounts he sets the standards in training, and he mentors the younger players brilliantly.
Kane does a fantastic job of being the role model as England’s best player, but when it comes to the skills that a true leader should possess, Henderson outshines him.
As Lallana says, Henderson may well be the best captain in football today, and, to be honest, it’s hard to argue against that.
The great captains of days gone by are all slowly but surely being phased out, but Henderson remains Liverpool’s skipper to this day.
Replacing Steven Gerrard as Liverpool’s captain seemed to be an impossible task, but somehow, Henderson has stepped up to the plate perfectly.
