Aston Villa are once again being linked with another player Unai Emery knows very well.
Indeed, after being linked with the likes of Pau Torres and Yeremy Pino, the Villans are now being linked with a move for Arnaut Danjuma by The Mirror.
Emery, of course, managed Danjuma during his time at Villarreal, and to say that he’s a big fan of the Dutchman would be something of an understatement.
The winger became a key player under Emery over in Spain, and while Emery trusted Danjuma, the player also had full faith in Emery.
Indeed, the attacker has previously gone on the record to hail Emery’s tactical nous, describing him as a ‘mastermind’ when speaking to BT Sport after a historic win against Bayern Munich earlier this year.

Danjuma loves Emery
The Dutchman was asked about Emery’s tactical plan after Villarreal upset Bayern.
“I’m not sure if I should lay it wide open at the moment because we still have the second leg to play. But I can assure you that Unai Emery is the tactical mastermind. His strategy always seems to work for us, we’re confident in our manager and our manager is confident in us. It goes hand-in-hand. Today his plan was so good and we didn’t even execute it in the best way,” Danjuma said.
Would jump at a move
You have to feel that Villa would have an easy time of it when trying to sign Danjuma.
Of course, coughing up that sort of cash is never easy, but when it comes to selling him the project and negotiating personal terms, that should be easy.
By the sounds of it, Danjuma would jump at the chance to work with Emery again, while he’s there’s also the fact he has unfinished business in England after a poor spell with Bournemouth.
This rumour certainly feels as though there could be some legs to it.
