Well, the Michael Edwards era at Liverpool is coming to an end.
Liverpool announced on Wednesday that their beloved sporting director would be moving on at the end of the season.
For months there had been speculation that Edwards would be leaving after his contract expires.
And there was confirmation of it yesterday, as well as the development that Julian Ward will be taking over from him.
Ward has been working under Edwards since December of last year.

One hell of a mentor
As far as mentors go, Ward had one of the very best in the form of Edwards.
This is a man who has overseen some truly astonishing transfers for Liverpool down the years.
Whether it was outgoings or incomings, saying Edwards did well for the Anfield club is a massive understatement.
Ward absolutely has very big shoes to fill but, as mentioned, he learned from one of the best in the business and that stands him in very good stead to blaze his own trail on Merseyside.
