Gabriel Martinelli has outperformed the Manchester United poster-boy
It’s hard to disagree with Gary Neville over his take about Gabriel Martinelli having been superior to Marcus Rashford this season.
However, what can be disagreed upon is both players’ values to their sides, as without Rashford’s goals, United would most definitely be out of the top four race by this point.
In terms of influencing a game, on the other hand, Martinelli impacts proceedings far more than Rashford, who has become more of an end product machine.
Martinelli, even without producing a goal or an assist gives opposition defences nightmares and is one of the best players on the pitch.
For that very reason, Gabriel Martinelli is a worthy winner of this debate.
