Clinton Morrison waxed-lyrical about Luis Diaz for his ‘brilliant’ performance during Liverpool’s thumping 6-0 win against Leeds United on Wednesday night, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports.

The former striker added that Diaz’s feet are ‘ridiculous’ and he has ‘all the skills to pay the bills’.

This was Liverpool’s game in hand which would see them close the gap to leaders Manchester City to three points – and they did just that in an emphatic fashion.

And given that the Reds were playing a Leeds side that have conceded goals for fun this season, well, it wasn’t a surprise when they put three past them inside 30 minutes.

With injuries to Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino, January signing, Diaz, started another game for Jurgen Klopp and Morrison thinks he is fitting in at his new club with ease.

“This Diaz has got all the skills to pay the bills,” said Morrison. “He’s going to fit in. He has been brilliant.

“Diaz really looks at home. What is it, his third or fourth game? Wow, what a signing – Diaz’s feet are ridiculous.”

Just like with Jota, Andy Robertson, Sadio Mane and Harvey Elliott, to name a few, once again Liverpool are showcasing their strength in the transfer market and plucking out outstanding players.

Given Liverpool’s record in the transfer market, even before Diaz could take to the Anfield turf, many backed him to do the business.

And whilst he has started in an outstanding fashion, he has perhaps been better than supporters first envisaged.

Some may even argue that he doesn’t deserve to lose his place in the starting XI, which only makes this Liverpool forward line even stronger, as a result.
