Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after The Daily Star claimed that Jurgen Klopp has made Jude Bellingham his top transfer target next summer.
Bellingham is quickly becoming an elite midfielder at the very top level, with his performances for both Borussia Dortmund and England catching the eye.
Liverpool are apparently looking at an eye-watering £80m to get Bellingham out of Dortmund, but the Anfield faithful believe that would be something of a bargain.
To be fair, we can’t disagree with that point of view. We’ve just seen Jack Grealish go for £100m, and with Bellingham looking like a player who could be a star for the next decade, an £80m fee doesn’t seem too ridiculous.
Liverpool supporters certainly want to see him come to Merseyside, with one fan claiming that he could even be as good as Steven Gerrard one day.
It remains to be seen what happens to Bellingham, but one thing is for sure, if he comes to Liverpool he would be a very welcomed addition.
