Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has given his view on Ralf Rangnick amid his links to Manchester United.
According to The Athletic, Rangnick is close to becoming the Red Devils’ interim manager, and Klopp believes that this isn’t good news for the rest of the Premier League.
Indeed, Klopp says that Rangnick is a good coach and that he will make sure that United are properly organised.
What’s been said?
Klopp gave his view on Rangnick.
“It’s tricky, we usually don’t talk about things that aren’t confirmed yet, but if you tell me its’ close I’ll believe you. Unfortunately, a good coach is coming to England, to Manchester United, he’s obviously a really experienced manager, he built, famously, two clubs from nowhere to be proper forces and threats in Germany with Hoffenheim and Leipzig. He’s done a lot of jobs in football but his first job and his first concern was being a coach and being a manager and that’s what his best skill is. United will be organised on the pitch and I think we should realise that and that is not good news for other teams,” Klopp said.

Bad news for Liverpool
Klopp is a disciple of Rangnick, and the fact that the Liverpool boss’ mentor is coming to England isn’t good news for the Reds.
We’ve seen at Anfield just how effective the gegenpress can be in the Premier League and Rangnick is the godfather of that particular tactical style.
If the former RB Leipzig man can quickly stamp his mark on the talented squad at Old Trafford then the Red Devils may soon find themselves back in contention for the major honours.
