Kevin Campbell has criticised Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil on Highbury Squad.
The former Arsenal striker has said that the attitude of the ex-Real Madrid star in training is not right.
Campbell has added that the 32-year-old is not in the Arsenal squad because he does not do enough in training and does not buy into what manager Mikel Arteta is doing.
The Englishman made the comments when it was suggested that Arsenal could do with the creativity of Ozil following the goalless draw with Leeds United at Elland Road in the Premier League at the weekend.
Ozil has been left out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squad, although he is still training with the first team.
Campbell said about Ozil on Highbury Squad: “He doesn’t get in because he won’t do the work on the training pitch with the manager. His attitude is wrong. That’s why he gets omitted from the squad.
“That is why he doesn’t get in. He doesn’t buy into what Arteta is doing, so that’s why he gets omitted. And it’s the third manager who has omitted him.”

Ozil training with the Arsenal first team suggests that he is not a problem, so his attitude and commitment in training sessions is probably fine.
The attacking midfielder’s agent, Dr. Erkut Sogut, told ESPN last month that five of his teammates have told him that he trains well.
Perhaps Campbell does have a point regarding the German not buying into Arteta’s plan.
Ozil is a creative player, but his game is not really about running back, high press or helping out defensively. At the age of 32, the attacking midfielder is unlikely to be able to change his game.
