Stephen Warnock says Mohamed Salah’s ability is ‘quite frightening’ as he continues to break record after record for Liverpool.

The former left-back donned the colours of the famous Anfield club and he added that he is in no doubt that Mohamed Salah is ‘one of the greats’ of Liverpool

There is the suggestion that the 30-year-old is having a bit of an off-season.

Well, during Salah’s early struggles and Liverpool’s season that could result in them missing out on a top-four finish, their star man has still bagged 19 Premier League goals.

He has also scored in nine home games in a row – which is a Liverpool record. Added to that, he is on Premier League gaol number 186, the same as Steven Garrard.

Robbie Fowler joked that he is ‘making everyone look bad’, either way, another former Red was singing his praises, as he told The Football Show on Sky Sports

“He will be one of the greats at Liverpool,” said Warnock. “To replicate that form over six seasons is quite remarkable, to always be the go-to guy and the game-changer with the pressure that is on his shoulders, week in and week out.

“It’s not just being a Liverpool player. It’s being an icon of world football. He’s got the weight of Africa on his shoulders. Every time he steps out, they are watching him. He is an absolute superstar.

“He is motivated every day, to be the one who is talked about every morning. He wants to be adored and talked about all the time.

“His ability is quite frightening. He can have quiet games. Really quiet games. But he is always there or thereabouts.”

CAN SALAH FIRE LIVERPOOL TO THE TOP FOUR?

For months and months now, many inside Liverpool thought their chances of playing Champions League football next season were down the drain.

But, somehow and from somewhere, they are on the tails of fourth-placed Manchester United, who have lost back-to-back games.

Even if Jurgen Klopp’s side win their remaining three matches, they still might not get it, but with Salah on board, they are pretty sure to make that happen and make their old rivals sweat in Manchester.
