Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking at Hirving Lozano, and he justified their interest at the weekend.
Lozano has been a revelation since heading to the Eredivisie and showed some glimpses of his quality on the global stage in the summer as part of Mexico’s World Cup squad.
The Mirror reports that Barcelona have been linked with the winger, but Spurs are now scouting the 23-year-old. And Tottenham’s interest in Lozano may have perhaps now increased after his latest performance for the league leaders.
Lozano scored twice as PSV destroyed VVV-Venlo 4-0 at Philips Stadion. They have now won eight games out of eight this term, and boast a five-point lead over Ajax.
The Spurs target – who will be looking to feature against Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the Champions League after the international break – now has seven goals in those eight league games. His league tally for PSV now stands at 24 goals in 37 games.
It is a hugely impressive record, and his latest brace should leave Tottenham even more determined to make a deal happen in one of the coming windows, especially as he is contributing a fairly even amount from both flanks so could prove to be a fantastic addition in several areas going forward.
