Eden Hazard is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United just two years after an £89m move to Real Madrid from Chelsea.

According to ESPN, the Magpies are keen on the Belgian international as their first marquee signing under their new owners. Hazard has not had the best of times in Madrid, and a return to England is possible.

The 30-year-old’s time in the Spanish capital has been noted for the numerous injuries Hazard has picked up for Madrid. And since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, the winger has hardly featured.

The former Chelsea star has been relegated to the bench for most of the season. And all signs are pointing to Hazard departing La Liga in search of regular football.

With Newcastle now one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, Hazard could be a target for the Toon should they decide to make a swoop for the Madrid attacker.

Under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, there’s no limit to who Newcastle can bring in and for what price.
