It wasn’t a game for the former Aston Villa player on Friday night.

Going by Twitter reaction, Aston Villa were right to dump Tommy Elphick this summer.
The Villans released the 31-year-old defender earlier this summer, cutting ties with the former Bournemouth man who joined in 2016.
Aston Villa strengthened their central defensive options in a major way during the transfer window by signing no fewer than four new players for that position.
It’s just as well that they didn’t keep Elphick, who is being slammed on Twitter.
The Huddersfield Town new boy played 90 minutes in Friday’s 2-1 home defeat by Fulham – and, going by fans’ reaction, he had a bit of a stinker.
Here’s how fans reacted to his performance.
Elphick, who stands at 6’2 [official website], is a decent Championship player and he will almost certainly improve.
Although he didn’t play a huge role in Aston Villa being promoted last season, he has previously come up with Bournemouth and sooner or later, his experience will be an asset for the Terriers.
Still, he’s no miss to Aston Villa whatsoever, to the point where if he was still at the club, he probably wouldn’t make a match-day squad all season.
Dean Smith has signed Kortney Hause, Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Bjorn Engels this summer.
