Peterborough United midfielder Michael Bostwick’s misplaced pass could serve as a warning to the likes of Liverpool, Bournemouth and Wolves.

Neon shirts have long divided opinion since their introduction to the beautiful game. Considered garish by some supporters, they still appear to be growing in popularity.
Liverpool’s third kit this season is described as ‘Toxic Thunder’, Bournemouth have opted for a bright lime green third kit and Wolverhampton Wanderers current away kit is described as ‘glow green’.
Peterborough United captain Michael Bostwick displayed this week why bright kits might not be such a good idea. The experienced midfielder managed to perfectly pick out a steward during Posh’s 1-0 win away at Northampton over the weekend.
Faint chuckles could be heard Sixfields Stadium as both sets of supporters realised the cause of Bostwick’s misplaced pass. Thankfully for Peterborough and Bostwick, Posh still managed to emerge victorious from the game, an injury time sickener from Christopher Forrester enough to sink their hosts.
The win kept Peterborough in the League One play-off places, and maintained their push for promotion to the Championship. The Posh are currently 5 points off the automatic promotion places, and 2 points clear of seventh place.
The victory and positive looking league table means Grant McCann’s men can laugh about Bostwick’s error, and in fact that is just what the club did, taking to Twitter to blame the steward for ignoring a ‘perfectly good Bostwick pass’.
There was a mixed response from Peterborough supporters, with some taking the incident in similarly good humour, whilst others took the opportunity to voice their displeasure with the kit.
