Arsenal fans have moved to praise the performance of Mohamed Elneny after his display against Rapid Wien last night.
Elneny was given the nod to start for Arsenal in their opening European match and he continued to impress.
The midfielder, who spent last season out on loan at Besiktas, has fought his way back into first-team contention at Arsenal.
And many Gunners fans now believe that he isn’t as highly rated as he should be for a player of his ability.
The encouraging thing for Elneny was that he proved that he can actually play with Thomas Partey last night.
When Partey arrived at Arsenal there were fears that Elneny could see his game time become far more limited.
But he played in a more box-to-box midfield role yesterday and still showed that he could provide a useful option for Arteta over the course of the season.
Arsenal picked up their victory against Rapid Wien thanks to goals from David Luiz and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
