Glasgow Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has had a slow start at Ibrox.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has been called into the Northern Ireland squad despite an underwhelming return to Ibrox.
Davis has not yet nailed down a regular starting spot for the Gers, although he did show promise in his last match against Kilmarnock despite a disappointing result.
Davis’ call up should not be a surprise. He is a Northern Ireland mainstay, and was part of the squad while he was sitting on Southampton’s bench.
International manager Michael O’Neill has backed Davis to come in and perform strongly.

He referenced how well Davis played in the late 2018 internationals.
He told the Evening Times: “Steven’s performances in September, October and November for Northern Ireland were of a high standard so hopefully he will bring that form with him.
“Sometimes players need a little bit of time to settle in with their clubs.”
Good performances for Northern Ireland will only help Davis when he returns to Rangers.
He faces Estonia on Thursday and then Belarus at the weekend, matches which both seem winnable for Northern Ireland.
Davis will be expected to play a key role, while Rangers fans will be hoping he comes through without injury ahead of the Celtic clash on March 31.
