Stoke City have begun their Premier League campaign in dismal fashion, and currently sit bottom of the table.

Former Stoke City defender Danny Higginbotham was speaking live on Sky Sports Now this morning at 10:14am, and discussed one major concern that he has for his former club this season.
The Potters currently find themselves rock bottom of the Premier League after a dismal run of four defeats and a draw in their opening five league games.
Higginbotham, who spent two separate spells at the Britannia Stadium (now named the Bet365 Stadium) that spanned a combined five-and-a-half years, shared the one real concern he has for Mark Hughes’ men this term, telling Sky Sports:

“My only fear for Stoke, my one main fear, is that I look at the squad and they’ve got some fantastic players, some very creative players – players that can do things and change a game. But my one concern is that, how many of them are in a position where they can face a relegation fight? Where you’ve got to roll your sleeves up, you’ve got to be different, it’s not all about being good on the ball. It’s all about putting you’re foot in. That’s my one concern about Stoke City and getting out of the trouble they’re in at the moment.”
Stoke’s troubles are highlighted by the fact they have gone 15 games without keeping a clean-sheet, and their record of just one victory in their last 12 Premier League games will be extremely worrying for Hughes.

The Potters face a huge game tomorrow with a home fixture against Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion, which they quite simply have to win, with their following game being a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
One of Hughes’ main criticism’s since taking over at Stoke is that he has tried to change the footballing philosophy too much from the days of Pulis’ tenure.
It could be argued that the Potters need to return to the style they were accustomed to under the West Brom boss if they are to fight their way out of trouble.
The game kicks-off tomorrow at 15:00.
