Mark Noble and Andy Carroll are among those to miss out, but Diafra Sakho could return.

Speaking to the club’s official website, West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has provided a fitness update on his squad ahead of their clash with London rivals Tottenham on Saturday evening.

The Croatian confirmed that the weekend will come too soon for Andy Carroll and Gokhan Tore, but it is brighter news for several other Hammers players.

“Injury-wise we are feeling much better,” Bilic said. “We have players back, like Diafra Sakho, and a few players are getting there and hopefully will progress.”

He went on to reveal that defensive duo Winston Reid and James Collins are in contention despite missing out on international fixtures for their countries.

“Winston Reid is back in training and he looks good. It wasn’t a long break for him. Ginge [James Collins] – he didn’t play for Wales but it was minor as well, and he’s back in training,” he said.

As well as Carroll and Tore, one player who is definitely out of the trip to White Hart Lane is Mark Noble.

The Hammers skipper is suspended having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the draw with Stoke a fortnight ago.

Sam Byram, Arthur Masuaku and Reece Oxford are all longer term absentees and will remain on the sidelines this weekend.

West Ham travel across the capital looking for their first win at White Hart Lane since October 2013, when a stunning solo goal from Ravel Morrison sealed a memorable 3-0 win for the Hammers.

A win of any kind would do the trick for Bilic’s side currently. They will go into this match in the drop zone if Hull win their crunch clash at Sunderland, and the optimism brought about by last season’s impressive form seems a long time ago.

The form of their rivals is in stark contrast to that of the Hammers. Tottenham are the only unbeaten side in this season’s Premier League, but they have drawn each of their last four games and dropped out of the top four as a result.
