Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring John McGinn to Ibrox, while Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have also been linked with the Hibernian midfielder.

Rangers are interested in signing McGinn from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Record.
It has been reported that Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who will take charge of the Rangers first team from next month, is considering making a move for the 23-year-old.

Parker told The Sunday Post: “I heard they’re looking to spend £6m – so are they going to put all their money into buying one player? That’s £6m for us to go and choose some players then.”
When asked if Rangers would need all of that cash to sign McGinn, Parker said: “If that’s what they’re saying they have, and they’re going to buy him.”

Advantage Celtic?
It is hard to see Rangers splash out £6m in transfer fees on just one player, and with Hibernian demanding that much for McGinn, it is going to be tough for the Ibrox club to secure his services.
Celtic, though, will be able to cough up £6m for McGinn if they want to, and Brendan Rodgers’s side clearly have the advantage over Rangers in the race for the 23-year-old Scotland international midfielder.
Celtic have been linked with a move for McGinn. Back in June 2017, The Express reported that Celtic were planning to sign the midfielder from Hibernian in the summer of 2017, while a report in ChronicleLive in February 2018 stated that the performances of the Scotland international this season have caught the eye of the Glasgow giants.
