All the details explained as Hibernian agree deal to sell Ryan Porteous to Watford
Further details claim that Slaven Bilic’s side will pay a £300,000 fee to sign the Scottish international, whose contract was set to expire in the summer.
Ryan Porteous was linked with a number of clubs in both England and Scotland, including West Brom, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers and Rangers, but Hibernian have now seemingly agreed to sell him to Watford.
The initial report has also stated that the highly-rated defender, who made 156 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side is set to undergo a medical at the Championship club.

However, it remains unknown whether Porteous will be eligible to play for the English club against Middlesborough.
Interestingly, it has also been claimed that after Hibernian decided to sell their star centre-back, Ryan Porteous to Watford, the club could now receive a sell-on percentage.
Furthermore, it seems as if both clubs have also planned to face each other in a friendly contest at Easter Road as part of the agreement.
The Hornets have consider Porteous as a long-time target, at this point as they were looking to bolster their options at the back.
With Nigerian international and experienced central defender, William Troost-Ekong heading to Serie A side Salernitana on loan, it was only natural that Watford went out all to ensure they secure the services of Ryan Porteous in the January transfer window.
