Heung-Min Son has failed to score in any of his last seven appearances for Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-Min Son has told Reuters that he has not been 100% fit recently, and that is the reason why his goalscoring form has slowed down.

Son started the new campaign in brilliant form for Spurs, and he looked like he was ready to fill the void for the injured Harry Kane.

However, the South Korean international has failed to score in any of his last seven appearances for Tottenham.

Son claims that his dip in form has been because he has been playing through the pain recently, after suffering with an ankle injury.

“It’s true that I’ve struggled after winning the award [Premier League player of the month] because of an ankle injury,” Son said.

“But it’s not just me; the whole team is having a difficult time.”

Son netted five goals for Spurs in September, but his current run of form leaves his place in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up looking vulnerable.

Harry Kane is edging closer to full fitness, while Dele Alli should be available for selection again after the international break, with Tottenham’s attacking options starting to look much stronger.

Son is currently away on international duty with South Korea, where he is expected to start for his country.

When Tottenham do return to action, they will take on West Ham United at White Hart Lane.
