Heung-Min Son has raved about his Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte and labelled him as ‘special’, as he told Football London.
The Spurs winger added that Conte is ‘so passionate’ from the sidelines and he brings ‘so much positive energy’ to the team.
In truth, Son’s words shouldn’t be a surprise to the supporters because their manager has proven, in previous jobs, that he can get pretty worked up in the technical area.
Whilst some managers remain composed on the side, Conte is a man who will make his feelings known in more ways than one.
And during the few months that Son has worked with the Serie A title-winner, he loves what he is seeing.
“We have a fantastic manager,” said Son. “He brings passion, he brings so much positive energy. We are all happy to work with him. I think it’s so, so important we keep this.
On Conte on the touchline: “That’s why he’s special. He’s so passionate. He wants to win, he wants clean sheets, he wants us to be better.
“This I think is such a positive signal. We should take this as improvement and we should be also that passion for the games coming.”

During this past week, Conte proved how topsy-turvy his emotions can become in north London.
From the elation of beating the Premier League champions to signals that he was seemingly looking to resign after the Burnley defeat, it was pure and raw emotions from the man on Tottenham’s touchline last week.
But that’s what makes him the character that he is and all of that filters out onto the pitch.
For most of Conte’s career, it has filtered out in positive ways because it has resulted in trophy after trophy.
Those in Spurs colours will be hoping, just like Jose Mourinho, his trophy-laden career doesn’t hit a big stumbling block at Hotspur Way.
