The South Korean international would end up in direct competition with the Frenchman.
N’Golo Kante of Chelsea and Anthony Martial of Manchester United
Over the weekend Tottenham Hotspur saw themselves linked with the signature of Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial.
RMC Sport suggested the French striker has decided he has no long-term future at the club following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the winter, the emergence of Marcus Rashford and a failure to negotiate a new contract at Old Trafford.
The £36 million 2015 signing from AS Monaco would be a brilliant signing for spurs, as he could play from the left-hand side of attack or indeed act as back-up to Harry Kane in the centre-forward position.
Heung-Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur
One man however who may not be so keen to see Martial arrive is South Korean attacker Heung-min Son.
He is a very similar player to the Frenchman. He too plays from the left, coming infield onto his better right foot and at times this season has looked devastating. He also feels he can cover the striking position so may see the arrival of Martial as something of a direct competition for places.
With Lucas Moura joining in January and Erik Lamela also fighting fit things are getting crowded in the area where Son would like to consider himself top-dog at Spurs.
Martial’s arrival could give him a real test at Spurs next season.
