Tottenham Hotspur are now widely considered to be genuine challengers for honours on all fronts.
Tottenham ace Heung-Min Son highlighted the biggest difference at the club between when he arrived in north London in 2015 and now, when speaking exclusively to Sunday’s match-day programme, and quoted via Football.London.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £22 million according to BBC Sport, and he has since gone on to become a real fan favourite at the club, racking up an impressive 67 goals and 36 assists in 187 appearances in all competitions thus far.
The South Korean gives Tottenham an entirely different option when fit and available, and he is now considered to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.
And Son explained how different Spurs are now as a club from when he joined nearly four years ago, as quoted via Football.London:
“When I arrived four years ago, a lot of things were changing such as players, us as people and the team as a whole. We have grown so much because we have been improving each and every season. People can say,’well you haven’t won a trophy’. but sometimes these things take time. I think we are very positive in that mindset as we know we are very close to that success. You look at the Premier League and we are so close.”
Tottenham have a great chance to finish the season on a real high, with a Champions League final against Liverpool to look forward to on June 1st.
And should Spurs succeed in Madrid, they will then be classed as a truly elite side.
