Heung-Min Son has shared that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker made a ‘big mistake’ before he scored Tottenham’s equaliser on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions (19/12/21 at 6:45 pm).
In an all-action game in north London, both Spurs and Liverpool recorded a score draw in a game of the season contender.
In a crazy end to the game, Andy Robertson put his team ahead in the second half, before Son pounced on Alisson kicking the air when rushing out to try and clear a through ball to Son.
The Spurs forward then had an empty net to score and he didn’t hesitate in levelling the scores, before Robertson was shown red for his kick out on Emerson Royal.
In truth, Son would question how he didn’t put the ball into the back of the net earlier because he did, alongside his teammates have guilt-edge chances to score.
Nonetheless, this is what Son had to say about his own and how he saw Alisson running out from his line.
“Yes, I could see it (Alisson out of the corner of his eye),” said Son. “So, I made this run and the ball is a little bit longer.
“I believe it. I believe something could happen. I should be there. Of course, the keeper made a big mistake.
“To be honest, I was a little bit nervous even when it was a big (an open) goal. Nobody was there, so if I miss, then I would be gutted. As you see, I kick it really, really soft. And a really happy moment.”

In the end, it was Alisson’s error that cost his team all three points, but that’s perhaps harsh given the performance he produced.
If it wasn’t for him, then Spurs would have scored at least two more goals through Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
In what was an open affair in north London, Antonio Conte’s side were cutting Liverpool apart on several occasions, as they struggled without their main man at the back in Virgil van Dijk.
