Tottenham Hotspur sold Kevin Wimmer to Stoke City during the summer transfer window.

Son and Wimmer developed a strong relationship, during their time together at Spurs.
And the South Korean international admits that he still keeps in contact with Wimmer, who left Spurs to join Stoke City last month.

Son said: “I’m a bit sad because he was and is still my best friend. Sometimes I miss him already but if he’s your best friend you have to be happy. If he’s happy at Stoke then I am as well.”
Wimmer’s first-team chances at Tottenham had become limited, and the arrival of Davinson Sanchez knocked the Austrian even further down the pecking order.
Since moving to Stoke, Wimmer has featured twice – against Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Wimmer is yet to taste victory in a Stoke shirt, but he is expected to have an important role to play throughout the season.
Son, meanwhile, is yet to score in the Premier League over the campaign so far.
The 25-year-old has played in all five of Spurs’ league matches to date, but he is yet to find the back of the net, with his only goal coming in Champions League action.
